Lucas Heuer, RPT – Certified Piano Technician
Lucas Heuer, RPT, is a skilled and certified member of the Piano Technicians Guild, dedicated to excellence in piano tuning, regulation, and repair. As a Registered Piano Technician (RPT), Lucas has completed a series of rigorous examinations that test his technical skill, precision, and commitment to ethical service.
Lucas has extensive experience working with a variety of clients and venues. He has tuned and serviced pianos for Steinway & Sons in Dallas, as well as for the Moody Performance Hall, Majestic Theater, SMU’s Meadows School of Music, Park Cities Presbyterian Church, and First Baptist Dallas. His work also extends to numerous schools, churches, and private homes across Texas.
He received formal training from some of the industry’s top piano technicians at The Chicago School for Piano Technology, where he developed the advanced skills and craftsmanship he brings to every instrument he services.
Renner Academy
Lucas is also a graduate of the Renner Academy. This course is taught by some of the industry’s top internationally recognized piano technicians: Rick Baldassin, a consultant to Renner USA, Fazioli Pianos, and the Utah Symphony, who conducts training seminars in the U.S. and Canada, Europe, Russia, South Korea, and Australia; Nicholas Gravagne, who combines an engineering background with 40 years experience in piano design, manufacturing, and rebuilding; Michael Spreeman, founder and creator of customized hand-crafted Ravenscroft pianos; Carl Teel, owner of The Piano Shop in Bountiful, Utah, and a well-known instructor at regional and national Piano Technicians Guild conventions; and Neema Pazargad, director of piano technology at The Colburn School in Los Angeles, California, who manages 170 instruments and three concert hall venues offering some 400 concerts annually.
Precision Touch Design Academy of Europe
Lucas is a graduate of the Precision Touch Design Academy of Europe program. This week long intensive course was held at Europe’s premier piano supply house, Jahn Pianoteile in Grub Am Forst, Germany. This course instructed students in the analysis and correction of piano touch weight and allows technicians to create piano actions that play like a dream. This understanding is especially important when replacing parts in a grand piano action.
